Gabel tied for lead after day one of Magnolia Collegiate
MOBILE, Ala. – Day one of the Magnolia Collegiate is in the books and UT Arlington's Kamri Gabel will enter the final day of the tournament in a tie for first place. The senior is tied with West Georgia's Emma Baier and Stetson's Isaki Sakashita at 3-over-par 147. Gabel's day was highlighted by a 1-over 73 first round in which she recorded a birdie on four holes. The Highland Village-native also birdied five holes in her 2-over 74 second round. No other Maverick matched Gabel's birdie total in either round.
