Alexander and Talebi Named UAA Athletes of the Week
Zahra Alexander of women’s basketball and Mo Talebi of wrestling were named University Athletic Association (UAA) athletes of the week following their respective postseason success this past weekend. Alexander was outstanding in helping to lead NYU to two victories over the weekend. She averaged 17.5 points on 72.2 percent (13-18) shooting from the floor, including a near-perfect 5-6 (83.3 percent) from three-point range. Alexander also averaged 2.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.5 assists as NYU increased its win streak to 91 games.
