Cambridge swim making waves
MILTON, Ga. — Just before a Cambridge swimmer steps onto the blocks, the Bears gather in a tight circle. One hand rises in the air and they echo in unison. 鈥淎ll in, all the time. All in, all the time. CBOD.鈥 It is more than a chant, it is a promise to each other.

Since Cambridge High School opened in 2012, Head Coach Lauren Hall has led the Swim and Dive program with that same unwavering commitment. Over the years, she has built more than a competitive team. She has built a tradition. Under her leadership, the Cambridge Girls Swim and Dive team captured the GHSA State Championship in 2020 and has stood on the state podium for seven consecutive seasons. The program continues to be a force at the Region Championships, earning second place finishes each of the past three years. At the county level, the girls team most recently claimed the 2026 Fulton County Championship, adding to previous county titles in 2020, 2022, and 2023, along with a second place finish in 2025.

Assistant Coach Emily Gibson and team captains Audrey Lampa, Alana Drevet, Jax Jackson, and Bryson Mynatt help foster a culture rooted in unity. Every athlete understands their role matters. Success is measured not only in podium finishes, but in effort, commitment, and the way teammates lift one another up.

After each meet, the team gathers again, this time to celebrate. Coach Hall recognizes new personal bests, event winners, and moments of sportsmanship. One male and one female swimmer are named Swimmers of the Meet for going above and beyond in and out of the pool. The captains then crown the King and Queen of the Meet, honoring athletes who demonstrate character and positivity. The winners are photographed, featured on social media, and sign their names on 鈥淏etsy,鈥 a plush bear who has quickly become a beloved symbol of their team spirit.

The Bears completed their current season with incredible performances at the Sate Championships complete with podium finishes including 2 silver medal backstroke swims and a runner-up honors in both the Girls鈥 and Boys鈥 200 Free Relays.
Every practice, every race, every relay is an opportunity to be all in. And for Cambridge Swim and Dive, being all in is what keeps them swimming toward excellence together.
