Milton football player Gage Lawrence is in the zone
MILTON, Ga. — For over ten years, Gage Lawrence has been working hard to perfect his football game, challenging himself to be the best athlete possible. Going into his senior year, Gage hopes to win the state championship for Milton High School and continue playing football in college.
To Gage, 鈥減reparation is key to success鈥 and 鈥測ou can鈥檛 avoid work when you want to succeed in life.鈥 One of his favorite things about his sport is that it can translate to real life in so many ways鈥搇ike learning how to be a part of the team, managing your time, and having the right mindset about the challenges in front of you.

Football can be physically trying, but Gage handles it by allowing himself time for recovery. On the field, 鈥渆ach person must fulfill their role and success will be inevitable.鈥 When a team works with each player鈥檚 talents, the results are incredible!
Getting in the right mindset before a game is crucial, and Gage finds that putting on eye black helps him to stay focused, He also listens to 鈥淒reams and Nightmares鈥 by Meek Mill, which prepares him for game time.

Outside of football, Gage likes to go fishing and hang out with his friends. Additionally, he has worked at Campania in his free time.
With his welcoming personality and his hardworking mindset, not only has Gage become a leader on his team, but he has welcomed opportunities for future success inside and outside of his sport. With a State Championship in his sights, Gage is sure to accomplish many things while in the zone!
