Anderson was one of four members in the inaugural class of the Bengals Ring of Honor in 2021 and remains one of the most iconic players in franchise history. The quarterback spent his entire 16-year NFL career in Cincinnati, paving the way for other skilled Bengals signal callers like Boomer Esiason, Carson Palmer, Andy Dalton and Joe Burrow. Overall, Anderson threw for a franchise-leading 32,838 yards while also amassing 197 touchdowns with a 59.3% completion rate. Anderson was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and had a career-best season in 1981, throwing for 3,754 yards and 29 scores as league MVP. The 67th pick of the 1971 NFL Draft also won NFL Man of the Year in 1975 and helped the Bengals to their first Super Bowl appearance before later winning one as quarterbacks coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2009.
