Amier Ali transferring: 5 landing spots for 4-star freshman forward
Ole Miss Rebels
Chris Beard showed interest in Ali at Texas. Beard’s longtime assistant, Mark Adams, also offered Ali while at Texas Tech before reuniting with Beard in Oxford. That might create interest for Ole Miss as Ali enters the portal, and he could be a nice fit with the Rebels as a decent defender with a developing offensive game. Following Ole Miss’ first Sweet 16 appearance in 24 years, Beard’s roster will look different next season with Sean Pedulla, Matthew Murrell, Jaemyn Brakefield and Dre Davis out of eligibility. That could give Ali significant playing time as a sophomore.
