Ranking the 10 greatest St. Louis Cardinals in franchise history
4. Bob Gibson, RHP (1959-75)
Gibson rates right with the all-time pitching greats. The 6-foot-1 fireballer struck fear in opposing hitters’ souls. “Gibby” garnered a host of honors during his dynamic days in St. Louis. Gibson seized two Cy Young trophies and the 1968 NL MVP award. In 1981, the Hall of Fame would call his name.
