Richard Pitino is in a similar situation to Indiana’s DeVries. He takes over for a program left behind by Sean Miller, who headed to greener pastures in Texas. The Musketeers were short more than 10 players when Pitino took the reins, including Ryan Conwell, now at Louisville, and Dailyn Swain, who followed Miller.
Catchings would step in as a top option for Xavier. It’s unclear if the two sides have spoken.
