The Fighting Illini rode the freshmen duo of Kasparas Jakucionis and Will Riley until they couldn鈥檛 and it eventually did them in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Kylan Boswell should be back, but Jakucionis is a potential top-five pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Donaldson would be a great, experienced option to replace him. Two senior lead guards could lead Illinois to the top of the Big Ten standings next season.
