The Commodores had interest in Gillespie as a high school senior, but the program is in a significantly better spot than it was in 2022. Vanderbilt went 20-13 this season, but point guard and leading scorer Jason Edwards entered the transfer portal. The Commodores can keep the positive momentum if they bring in experienced players.
