Kansas State has missed the NCAA Tournament in five of the past six seasons despite adding premier talent through the portal like Coleman Hawkins. However, optimism remains that head coach Jerome Tang can turn the program around, as they expect to return a majority of the roster and add Tyreek Smith, who redshirted this season after transferring from Memphis. The Wildcats will need to hit the portal once again to bolster the roster and could use their significant NIL funds to pursue Swain, who had Kansas State among his finalists during his initial recruitment.
