The Gamecocks are another program that has shown interest in adding a mid-major forward, having been tied to former Valparaiso big man Cooper Schwieger.
Much like Schwieger, Folgueiras has multiple years of eligibility remaining and has earned accolades that garner attention. He showed against Alabama, one of the Gamecocks’ SEC foes, that he can hang with that level of competition.
Folgueiras had a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double in Robert Morris’s first-round defeat last Friday.
