Malik Reneau transferring: 5 landing spots for Indiana forward
Florida Gators
Florida had a different regime under Mike White when Reneau originally committed to the Gators several years ago. However, a chance to play for his home-state school could be enticing should Todd Golden show interest, particularly with the program in position to contend for a national championship. The Gators were one of the premier teams in a loaded SEC this season and have won 32 games as they pursue a trip to the Final Four. Florida’s guard play has been a big part of the success, while the Gators also feature a deep frontcourt. If young forwards like Alex Condon, Thomas Haugh and Rueben Chinyelu return next season, Florida might be relatively set in the frontcourt. Still, Reneau would be a strong depth addition and could carve out a role in the Gators’ rotation, even with less playing time than he might see elsewhere.
