Top 10 Minnesota high school baseball players in Class of 2025
5. John Henry Kohorst, LHP, Cretin-Derham Hall
Kohorst is one of the most talented left-handed pitchers in a state loaded with them. The Apple Valley product has a three-pitch mix highlighted by a quality curveball. The 6-foot-3 Iowa commit is in the low 90s with his fastball and uses a changeup to keep hitters off balance. Kohorst has the potential to eat up valuable innings on a Big Ten pitching staff.
John Henry Kohorst (‘25, MN) held 87-89 mph on the FB consistently in his outing, w/ spin at 2,217 RPMs. Showed a 1-7 CB up to 78 mph w/ spin above 2,400 RPMs — slurvy at times. Mixed a harder CH in as well up to 81 mph w/ spin @ 1,486. commit.
