5. Ethan Ball, SS, McLean
McLean High School won the state鈥檚 Class 6 championship last season and Ball is a big reason why. The 6-foot shortstop has a powerful left-handed swing and good plate discipline. Ball should start at some point in the middle infield for Virginia Tech, with the capability of being a true-impact player in the ACC.
