Pladson hovers around the second and third-best overall player in Kansas. However, he is the best outfielder in the state, with an 86 mph velocity on his throws from the outfield. As a junior, Pladson was named the 2023-24 Gatorade Player of the Year for Kansas baseball, leading the Clay Center Tigers to a 25-1 record, batting .534 with 45 RBIs and eight home runs.
