Top 10 Washington high school baseball players in Class of 2025
5. Jonah Aase, LHP, Meridian
Aase arguably has the top arm in a senior class full of talented pitchers across the Evergreen State this season. The senior southpaw has a strong fastball that can touch the low 90s and a nice mix of off-speed pitches. Last season, Aase helped lead Meridian to its first state championship game appearance in 40 years with a 13-strikeout effort in the state semifinals. It was one of several impressive outings that the 6-foot-1, 190-pound lefthander had as he also threw a perfect game last March. Meanwhile, Aase is productive at the plate as well, hitting .412 with 29 RBIs, 30 runs and a 1.222 OPS in 2024. Aase committed to LSU this past September and will join Jay Johnson and the Tigers following what should be a strong senior season with the Trojans.
Won’t be for long.
Was very impressed with LHP Jonah Aase (). FB played up; clean arm, natural slot; executed 3-2 CH for K twice; showed two breakers. Upside and feel.
