The No. 7-ranked Gators will have a tough stretch with away games against No. 5 Florida State and No. 2 Tennessee this week. It will be their first challenge of the season, but Florida should be talented enough to hold its own. Catcher Brady Donay has been one of the best hitters in college baseball and Friday-night starter Liam Peterson is living up to the hype he had as a high-school prospect. He is projected to be one of the top picks in the 2026 draft.
