Alan Huss
Huss has had an impressive ascension in the coaching ranks and could soon earn his first high-major head-coaching position. Huss was an experienced high school coach, spending time at Culver Academies and La Lumiere in Indiana before becoming a collegiate assistant at New Mexico. He later spent seven seasons on Greg McDermott鈥檚 staff at Creighton, overseeing a team that consistently made the NCAA Tournament while helping lead the Bluejays鈥� potent offense. Over the last two years, Huss has become a two-time Big South Coach of the Year in his first head-coaching role at High Point, leading the Panthers to a 56-14 record and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2025. The 46-year-old is relatively inexperienced but has gained some familiarity with North Carolina and could be ready for the jump to the high-major level.
