Owens received a spot on the U-18 USA baseball team in the summer after a dominant junior campaign. The Jonesborough native hit .425 with 29 RBIs while also recording a 1.53 ERA. Owens is committed to Georgia Southern and could potentially be a two-way player in the Sun Belt Conference.
