1. William Schmidt, RHP, LSU
Schmidt made the stunning announcement he was heading to LSU hours before the 2024 MLB Draft. He was arguably the top high school pitching prospect in the class and has plenty of hype behind him in Baton Rouge. Schmidt has one outing so far in 2025, but he has the talent to emerge as an important contributor out of the bullpen this season. It would be surprising if Schmidt is not a Friday-night starter by the end of his college career.
