9. Nico Soul, OF, Marvin Ridge
Soul posted a .319 batting average with 13 RBIs and three home runs last season to earn an all-conference selection and help the Mavericks reach the third round of the NCHSAA 4A state tournament. Marvin Ridge nearly bowed out in the first round of the playoffs before Soul hit a game-tying homer in the seventh inning to push the Mavericks past Northwest Guilford. Soul is open to college recruitment after decommitting from Georgia Tech.聽
