17. Connor Hellebuyck
Hellebuyck is one of the top goalies of this generation after winning two Vezina Trophies while being a heavy favorite to win the award again in 2024-25. The 31-year-old American has never posted a goals-against average over three in his 10 seasons in the NHL. Hellebuyck will have more years to climb up this list before it is all said and done.
16. Jarome Iginla
Iginla is one of the greatest goal scorers of the century and led the league twice in his 20-year career. He was runner-up for the Hart Trophy both of those seasons and was a finalist again for the award in 2007-08. Iginla finished his illustrious career with 625 goals and 1,300 points in 1,554 games.
15. Nikita Kucherov
Kucherov is still one of the best players in the NHL and he already has a strong Hall of Fame case at 31 years old. The Russian winger has two Stanley Cups and a Hart Trophy under his belt and is consistently among the top of the leaderboards in points. Kucherov placed second in the Hart voting in 2023-24, but many thought he deserved the award over Nathan MacKinnon after a 144-point season.
14. Auston Matthews
Matthews is on pace to be one of the greatest American goal scorers ever with 388 goals in 602 games. The 27-year-old has a career-low of 34 goals in a season, showing how consistent he is in that department. Matthews has the second most Maurice Richard Trophies (three) in the award鈥檚 history.
