The Oilers posted a 24-10 record and reached the CIF Division 1 regional semifinals last season behind a .333 batting average and 30 RBIs from Grindlinger. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound athlete was selected to the USA Baseball U18 National Team this past summer and appeared in five games as a catcher, recording a .584 on-base percentage with two RBIs and six runs. Grindlinger’s elite bat speed and pop time behind the plate led to his commitment to the Mississippi State Bulldogs, where he plans to continue his baseball career following his senior season.Ìý
