Top 10 NCAA softball players entering the 2025 season
9. Aminah Vega, 2B, Duke
Duke had an impressive season in 2024, going 52-9 while finishing as a top-10 team in the country. The Blue Devils have lost a couple of important pieces from last season鈥檚 roster led by top hitter Claire Davidson, but they also return a lot of talent headlined by Vega. Last season, the 5-foot-7 junior infielder was named a first-team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as she hit .369 with 12 home runs, 52 RBIs and a 1.101 OPS. While Vega should continue to be a force at the plate in 2025 alongside talented Duke outfielder D鈥橝una Jennings, her defense ultimately sets her apart from many of the top infielders in the country as she was also named the 2024 ACC Defensive Player of the Year. Her two-way skill set is part of what makes Duke a favorite to win the ACC again this season.
