Now, the talented 6-foot junior will begin a new chapter at Texas Tech, transferring to the Red Raiders from Stanford this past offseason on the back of a . Canady will be worth every penny if she continues the success she had at Stanford, and her presence in Lubbock makes Texas Tech a Women鈥檚 College World Series contender and a potential Big 12 favorite, particularly with Oklahoma and Texas now in the SEC. Last season, Canady led the nation by wide margins in ERA (0.73) and strikeouts (337) while going 24-7 for the Cardinal.
