College basketball’s top 10 freshmen so far in 2024-25 season
3. Thomas Sorber, F, Georgetown
Sorber was a consensus four-star recruit, but he has been the most surprising freshman in the country. The Trenton, New Jersey native has been the Hoyas’ best player in a 12-3 start to the season. Sorber is averaging 15.1 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.3 blocks. He could be Georgetown’s first first-round pick since Otto Porter Jr. in 2013.
Nothing too special, but you can trust Thomas Sorber to keep the wheels greased with his passing. His 16% assist rate is just below that of Paolo and Blake Griffin, above that of Evan Mobley and Kevin Love
