7. Asa Newell, F, Georgia
Newell had aspirations of turning around Georgia鈥檚 basketball program and he is doing that halfway through his freshman season. The Bulldogs are 13-2 and the former five-star recruit has been at the center of their success. Newell is averaging 15.5 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.1 blocks. He is arguably the favorite for SEC Freshman of the Year.
