Ranking each Big Ten basketball team entering conference play
7. Michigan Wolverines
Michigan is one of only three programs that remain undefeated in conference play with each Big Ten team playing a pair of league contests in December. Those victories include impressive wins at Wisconsin and against Iowa, while the Wolverines also boosted their resume with a December victory over Xavier. The 10-3 Wolverines are actually close to being undefeated as their losses to Wake Forest, Oklahoma and Arkansas have come by a combined five points. Dusty May added several notable transfers in the offseason, including 7-footer Danny Wolf who leads Michigan in rebounds per game (10.2). Fellow 7-foot center Vladislav Goldin is Michigan鈥檚 leading scorer, averaging 13.9 points. The two big men make the Wolverines a dangerous team that is solid defensively but can also score as they average 84 points per contest.
