The Mountaineers brought back head coach Rich Rodriguez, but the firing of Neal Brown created some chaos for the team鈥檚 roster construction. CJ Donaldson and Josiah Trotter both left the program as well as leading receiver Hudson Clement. West Virginia also lost freshman receiver Ric鈥橠arious Farmer who was a four-star prospect on most recruiting sites. The Mountaineers landed the commitment of Jacksonville State transfer Jarod Bowie, but White would have the chance to be the No. 1 option in Morgantown.
