Makhi Hughes transferring: 5 possible landing spots for RB

Oregon Ducks

Oregon has a chance to cap an undefeated season with a national championship in the coming weeks, but the Ducks will likely have a new look in 2025, particularly on offense. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel is out of eligibility and leading rusher Jordan James may head to the NFL, as could the Ducks’ top three wideouts. Dan Lanning has a top-five recruiting class coming in, but he will likely need to add some experienced transfers for the Ducks to maintain the level they are at. Hughes would be a tremendous addition who would seemingly fit well in what has been an incredibly potent offense the last few seasons under Will Stein, potentially giving Hughes Doak Walker Award-winning upside in 2025. Hughes also has a connection to Oregon as his younger brother, Na’eem Offord, is one of the top recruits in the Ducks’ 2025 class.
