Tawee Walker transferring: 5 possible landing spots for RB

MADISON, Wis. (BVM) – Tawee Walker has entered the transfer portal following one season at Wisconsin. Walker will take advantage of a recently introduced allowing athletes who competed at a non-NCAA school for one or more years to continue competing during the 2025-26 season despite previously being out of eligibility.

Following a prep career where he played at Mojave High School in North Las Vegas, Nevada and Centennial High School in Peoria, Arizona, Walker began his collegiate career at the JUCO level at Palomar College in San Marcos, California. He eventually made his way to the FBS level with Oklahoma and ran for over 500 yards during the 2023 season.

Last offseason, Walker transferred to Wisconsin and had perhaps the best year of his collegiate career in 2024, rushing for 864 yards and 10 touchdowns while averaging 4.5 yards per carry.

The 5-foot-9, 220-pound halfback has valuable experience and his proven ability to succeed at the Power 4 level should lead to interest during his stay in the portal. Here are five landing spots for Walker.
