Malachi Fields transferring: 5 possible landing spots for WR
Virginia Tech Hokies
Fields has spent his high school and collegiate careers in Virginia, so it would not be surprising if he stayed in his home state for his final college season. Virginia Tech continues to hover around the middle of the pack in the ACC, going 6-6 while earning a bowl bid in 2024. The Hokies’ offense has been decent this season, often led by its ground attack featuring senior halfback Bhayshul Tuten. With Tuten likely on his way out, the Hokies may need to pass more in 2025 and Brent Pry could look to add a receiver or two in the portal if that’s the case. Adding wide receiver depth will likely be a priority regardless as the Hokies’ top four wideouts are seniors. Fields would be a nice replacement who could command plenty of targets in Tyler Bowen’s offense.
