Malachi Fields transferring: 5 possible landing spots for WR

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (BVM) – Malachi Fields has entered the transfer portal following four seasons at Virginia and will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Fields was a three-star recruit coming out of Monticello High School in Charlottesville, Virginia and stayed home with the Cavaliers, emerging as one of the most productive wide receivers in the ACC over the past couple of seasons. In 2023, Fields made 58 catches for 811 yards and five touchdowns. He posted nearly identical numbers for the 5-7 Cavaliers this season, racking up 55 catches, 808 yards and five more scores.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound senior is a big-bodied wideout who can produce explosive plays, making him an intriguing name to watch during his stay in the portal. Here are five programs Fields could be playing for next season.
