Brown was committed to play for Clay Helton at USC before his recruitment blossomed, then changed his mind after the coach was fired.
Since, Helton has taken over for the Eagles, who went 8-4 this go-round and are bound for the New Orleans Bowl, their third bowl appearance in as many seasons.
Brown would figure to give JC French a run for his money as the Eagles’ guy if he chooses to finally team up with Helton.
