Darian Mensah transferring: 5 landing spots for freshman QB

Miami has had its best season of the Mario Cristobal era in 2024, going 10-2 in the regular season and narrowly missing a College Football Playoff berth. The Hurricanes will look to keep that momentum going but may have to land one of the top quarterbacks available in the transfer portal to do so. Cam Ward put himself in the Heisman conversation playing for Cristobal and offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson this season after transferring from Washington State, but he鈥檚 likely off to the NFL. Mensah would bring less experience than Ward but has a similar game with a big arm and an ability to get yards with his legs when needed. Mensah鈥檚 three years of eligibility could also prove valuable with Reese Poffenbarger transferring and only sophomore Emory Williams remaining in the Canes鈥� quarterback room.
