Purdy strongly considered staying home and committing to Arizona State, but ultimately went with Florida State instead. Rob Likens was the lead recruiter in the Sun Devils鈥� pursuit for Purdy, but the assistant coach is now at SMU. Kevin Jennings has been great for the Mustangs this season, but backup Preston Stone could be a transfer portal candidate. Purdy could be a decent backup for SMU in 2025.
