Appalachian State fired head coach Shawn Clark on Monday, but as of right now, offensive coordinator Frank Ponce remains with the program. The reason why he is important is because Ponce was Purdy鈥檚 lead recruiter at Louisville, where he originally committed out of high school. If Ponce remains with the Mountaineers, he could look to reconnect with Purdy.
