Cade McNamara transferring: 5 possible landing spots
Michigan Wolverines
McNamara spent the first four years of his college career at Michigan and a return to Ann Arbor could be in the cards for his final season. The Wolverines’ passing attack struggled mightily following J.J. McCarthy’s departure as neither Davis Warren or Alex Orji provided much through the air, resulting in Michigan having the 129th-ranked passing offense out of 133 FBS teams. The Wolverines’ late-season win over rival Ohio State proved that the program might not be far off from contending again, but better play under center will be needed. Five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood is the future in Ann Arbor, but McNamara could be a stop-gap option as he develops. McNamara’s past relationships with Sherrone Moore and others on the coaching staff make a reunion possible, and he would bring an experienced voice to a familiar locker room.
