Ranking the top 10 Utah Utes football players of all time
6. Jordan Gross, OT (1999-2002)
When an offensive lineman receives attention, it’s typically a bad thing 鈥 think holding penalties or boos that rain down after allowing an edge rusher to pull the quarterback down.
In Gross’ case, the recognition was well-deserved.
He didn’t allow a single sack from his spot at left tackle as a senior, which was聽a big reason why he was the first Utah offensive lineman to be tabbed as a first-team All-American since the 1940s. Gross was also one of three finalists for the Outland Trophy that season.
