Top 10 Texas QBs for 2024 high school football season
10. Cody Stoever, Sr., Wimberley
Stoever isn’t a highly-rated or sought-after recruit like many on this list, but there might not be a player who means more to his team’s success than the Wimberley senior. Last season, Stoever accounted for 66.7% of Wimberley’s offensive production and scored 73 of the Texans’ 102 touchdowns. As a passer, the 5-foot-11, 195-playmaker racked up 2,992 yards, 41 touchdowns and five interceptions. Stoever was arguably even more impressive with his legs, rushing for 1,585 yards and 32 scores as he led the Texans to 14 wins and was named the state’s Class 4A Offensive Player of the Year. Stoever’s collegiate future remains uncertain as he awaits D-I offers, but he will undoubtedly be one of the most exciting players to watch in Texas this fall.
Cody Stoever(Wimberley) accumulated 4,577 total yards in 2023, finishing top-12 in Texas. The Junior QB completed 72% of his passes for 2,992 passing yards and ran for 1,585 rushing yards, while accounting for 73 total TDs.
