Tennessee extended Loftin his first SEC offer. Six months later, in June, he felt he fit in with the Volunteers and asked a DJ playing music for a photo shoot to announce such.
On3 and 247Sports both rate Loftin as a four-star recruit and the fifth-best senior in New Jersey. He had it in his calendar to see Penn State and Syracuse but chose to no longer do so after choosing to wear orange.
