5. Leland Frescaz, Jr., Doherty

The Spartans stumbled out of the gates in 2023, winning just one of their first five games. Frescaz helped turn the tides and led the team to a 4-1 record to close out the season, including a 70-34 rout of Westminster where he threw for 486 yards and seven touchdowns. Frescaz finished his sophomore season 12th in passing yards among Colorado quarterbacks with 2,429.
