1. Mason West, Jr., Edina

Standing at 6-5, 200 pounds, West has emerged as the top quarterback in the state after last season’s spectacular run in the playoffs. After finishing 5-3 in the regular season, the Hornets rattled off four wins to reach the Class 6A championship, where they lost by one point to the Centennial Cougars. West threw three or more touchdown passes in each of the four postseason games leading up to the title game and finished the season third in the state with 2,625 passing yards, fifth with 184 completions and tied for sixth with 28 touchdown passes. He currently holds offers from Kent State, Marshall and Miami (OH).
