9. Jaivin Peel, So. Western Beaver
Peel is the lone sophomore on this list and could be among Pennsylvania鈥檚 top signal callers for years to come after a truly special freshman season. The 6-foot, 185-pound quarterback earned the starting role right off the bat at Western Beaver and immediately became one of the top signal callers in the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) as he threw for 2,889 yards, the most ever by a WPIAL freshman. Peel also added 33 passing touchdowns while earning first-team all-conference and conference player of the year honors thanks to his strong arm and sound mechanics. Peel has already worked out at camps with several high-major programs in recent months and the buzz will only continue to build around the sophomore if he puts on an encore performance this fall.
