Top 10 Indiana HS football players in Class of 2025
10. Tyrone Burrus Jr., Edge, Warren Central
Damien Shanklin rightfully garners a lot of attention as a star pass rusher at Warren Central, but his teammate, Burrus Jr., is also one of the Hoosier State’s top senior prospects. Burrus Jr. is a terrific athlete who is quick for his 6-foot-4, 235-pound size evidenced by his successful track career at Warren Central. That athleticism has benefited the senior on the football field as well with 21 ½ tackles for loss in his Warriors career, 15 of which came last season. Burrus Jr. also posted six sacks as a junior and had 24 tackles overall. The pass-rushing duo of Burrus Jr. and Shanklin will be one of the best in the entire country this fall and could help the Warriors take the next step following a couple of seasons around .500. After his senior campaign, Burrus Jr. will head off to Louisville, committing to the Cardinals in June.
Stopped at a local high school in Indianapolis prior to the Big Ten Championship last week to watch target get a workout in.
Lots to like about the three-star DE — long, fast, and coachable.
Story on him and his fit with the coming shortly.
