8. Derek Abney, D.C. Everest (1996-98)
Abney has the best resume on the list as he was a first-team All-SEC player three times while at the University of Kentucky. The Schofield, Wisconsin, receiver was a seventh-round pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, but he never appeared in a game. Abney鈥檚 senior season propelled him to the top of the Wisconsin high school record book, leading the state in receptions (63) and yards (1,321) in 1998. Abney finished his career with 2,992 yards, 31 receiving touchdowns and 17 return touchdowns.
