7. Alvin Henderson, RB, Elba
Henderson has put up some remarkable numbers in recent years at Elba and he is a leading candidate to win Alabama鈥檚 2024 Mr. Football award entering the season. Henderson, a strong, shifty back with terrific speed, posted a 1,000-yard season as just a freshman before a breakout sophomore campaign where he was named Class 1A running back of the year as he put up 2,636 yards and 49 touchdowns, averaging 220 rushing yards per contest. Those numbers got even better last year as the 5-foot-9, 200-pound standout was again the top rusher at the Class 1A level, amassing 3,523 yards and 61 touchdowns while averaging 15.7 yards per carry and over 250 yards per game. Henderson is as explosive of a weapon as there is in the state and will remain in Alabama to begin his collegiate career at Auburn following his senior year.
