Ranking each ACC football head coach entering 2024 season
8. Fran Brown, Syracuse
This is the most bold claim on the list and perhaps it ages poorly as early as the middle of the season. Brown is a 41-year-old first-year head coach who has only held a co-coordinator position in the past. With that being said, the former Georgia defensive backs coach is in the conversation as one of the best recruiters in college football. He has already brought in more talent to Syracuse and he has a track record of being able to develop players. The ceiling is immense for Brown.
I spoke with Fran Brown today just prior to the players reporting back to campus at 2pm. He's embracing the high expectations of 'Cuse fans and says he feels a responsibility to deliver for this community.
