Rumson-Fair Haven girls golf completes successful season
RUMSON, N.J. — RFH Varsity Girls Golf was poised to have the best season in a few years due to a talented senior leadership group supported by a strong younger group of underclassman players.
Leading the way were Seniors Audrey Winters, Caroline Hickey, and Dylan Davis, all of whom had been with the team for all their high school years, and Audrey Caulfield, who joined the golf team for the first time for this her senior season.
Ellery Donaldson, Junior, was back for her 2nd Varsity season, and Freshman Bella Gesell continued to impress, shooting consistently in her first season for RFH.
Sabrina Marciszewski, Annika Szalkowski, Lia Flynn, Sloane Welle, Blake Stoner, Lorelei Gaus, Emma Kilbourne, and Charlotte Gagliardi were ready to play. The JV team improved this season, keeping our future pipeline strong.
Finishing with an 8 – 3 winning season, they played 11 matches in the five weeks following Spring Break. Then competed in the Monmouth County Championship and Shore Conference Championship Tournaments.
For the first time in years, the team had a full combination of skill, leadership, and golfers from all different grades, allowing us to be successful and to have a strong outlook continuing into future seasons.
